Homeschooling is not without its tensions. Nothing truly good ever is. But one of the blessings of homeschooling is the increased opportunity of taking in humorous moments with those most dear to you. And those special moments provide a chance to “lighten up”.
The new Laugh with Me column is your place to share your humorous moments. Perhaps your toddler or child put two and two together and ended up with something surprising, outrageous, or just plain hilarious. Sometimes they just did the unexpected, in all seriousness, prompting your laugh-out-loud response!
Sure, in the moment that you’re in those situations, finding the humor may be a challenge. Truth be told, they can be aggravating, especially in the sacred silence before your morning cup of coffee. But in your reflection afterwards, invariably you will find the humor.

Share a favorite reason, or your Top Five (or Top Ten!) reasons for homeschooling, or slightly skewed views on the day’s lessons. Tell us what your children get into that brings a chuckle, the games, the experiments, the escapes, the harrowing mistakes, insightful moments around the dinner table, or the wonderful recollections of innocent ducklings learning to become graceful swans.
