Guilt

Do you struggle with guilt? Feeling guilty has its proper place, as it is used by the Spirit of God to lead us to confession and repentance.

But once Christ has forgiven us of those sins which we have confessed and been absolved of, we should not continue to feel guilty. Guilt is crippling because it keeps us mired in the past and prevents us from moving forward in God.

Are there areas in your life that cause you to feel guilty? If so, write a letter to God in your journal and communicate to Him everything that you are feeling. Get everything off of your chest.

If God has forgiven you of those things which are causing you to still feel guilty, tell Him why you still feel like He has not forgiven you. Tell Him why you are having a hard time forgiving yourself and what this guilt is doing to your life.

Be completely open and honest with Him. He’s your Father.
