When others hurt you, how do you tend to respond? Do you immediately try to sit down with that individual in order to hash things out? Do you say nothing at all, and keep everything bottled up until it all comes out in the wrong way?
When people hurt you, do you automatically cut them out of your life and have nothing to do with them ever again? Why do you believe that you respond to pain in the way that you do?
Knowing why we react the way we do is the first step toward cooperating with God’s grace in our lives so that we will eventually be changed. If we want wrong attitudes and behaviors to change, we must first get to the root cause of them.
This is why it is necessary for us to focus on the “whys” behind our actions and reactions in life.
