According to Romans 8:28, “In all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
When things are going well in our lives, it’s easy to see God “working for our good” through them. But what about when tougher times come?
Write about a time when you found yourself going through an excruciatingly difficult or challenging time in your life. During that time, you couldn’t see God’s handiwork in any of it at all.
Looking back, however, you are now able to see the wisdom and understanding of your Heavenly Father, even though at that time, you could not discern what it was that He was trying to teach you, reveal to you about Himself, change, or develop in you.
What did you learn? How were you changed? What did God show you about Himself? How did that situation move you on to spiritual maturity?
